HAMILTON, N.Y. - The doubles pair of
Tomas Christian and Franceso Mowrey won a 6-3 decision at the top position for the La Salle University men's tennis team, but the Explorers dropped the doubles point and fell in all six singles matches as Colgate earned a 7-0 win on Saturday.
Christian and Mowrey downed the No. 1 doubles team from Colgate by a 6-3 margin, but the other two La Salle teams at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots fell by 6-3 scores as the Red Raiders took the doubles point.
In singles action, Christian was the lone player to win a set, taking the second by a score of 6-4 from Bobby Alter.Â
La Salle returns to competition on Saturday, Mar. 18 against Loyola (Md.) in its first home match of the spring season, which will take place at Swarthmore College.
