Ali Snyder and sophomore
Brittany Poje earned a win at the top doubles position for the La Salle women's tennis team, who fell to Bucknell by a 7-0 margin on Saturday evening.
Snyder and Poje, who was seeing her first action for the Explorers after transferring from Mount St. Mary's, went to a tiebreak in their match before picking up the victory. The Bison won the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 position.
In singles action, Snyder took the first set of her match at the No. 2 spot against Lisa Jouravleva, who has earned 41 victories at singles over her first two seasons at Bucknell. But the veteran was able to take the second and third sets.
At No. 6 singles, freshman
Maansi Malhotra battled with another Bucknell junior, Allie Lane. The two split the first two sets and went to a super tiebreak in the third, with Lane taking the decision, 10-6.
La Salle continues its season on Sunday, Feb. 19 against Saint Peter's beginning at 11:00 a.m.
