PHILADELPHIA – Due to forecasted frigid temperatures, the La Salle softball doubleheader at Penn originally scheduled for Wednesday afternoon will be played as a single game on Thursday at 6 PM at Penn Park.

Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle will be back in action for the first time since March 12 after the UMBC Dawg Pound Invitational was cancelled due to snow last week.

Marlo Roadcap and
McKenzie Peace both have four wins and a save for the Explorers. Roadcap has appeared in nine games (seven starts) while Peace has pitched in 10 games (six starts).

Mackenzie Obert is among the league leaders in hitting with a .317 average
-La Salle and Penn split a doubleheader at Penn Park last season, with the Quakers taking a 5-2 win in game one before La Salle won the nightcap 5-3.
Scouting the Quakers
-Penn is coming off a doubleheader sweep of Lafayette on Monday in their first home games of the season. Penn topped the Leopards 8-1 in the first game and 9-1 in game two.
-Penn's offense exploded for 20 hits on the day, and tied a season-high with nine runs in the second game. Sarah Cwiertnia finished the afternoon 4-for-8 with three RBI's, and leads the Quakers with 13 runs driven in this year.
-Leah Allen leads the team in hitting with a .409 average through the first 12 games.
The Explorers will open A-10 play this weekend at George Mason. La Salle is scheduled to play a doubleheader with the Patriots on Saturday afternoon before the series finale at noon on Sunday.
