PHILADELPHIA – La Salle softball travels north to St. Bonaventure this weekend for a three-game series with the Bonnies. The schedule for the weekend has been adjusted due to forecasted weather, and the Explorers will now play a single game Saturday at 1 PM followed by a doubleheader on Sunday at noon.

Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle had 10 hits on Thursday at Villanova, one shy of their season-high as a team (Fairfield-2/24).
Christina Bascara and
Mackenzie Obert combined for four hits, three RBI's and two runs scored.
-
Marlo Roadcap entered for 2.2 innings of scoreless relief against the Wildcats, and leads the team in ERA with a 3.05 through 62.0 innings pitched. Roadcap didn't allow a hit, and struck out five while walking one. The sophomore is now third in the A-10 with 70 strikeouts on the year.
-As a staff, La Salle is third in the league with 130 strikeouts through 22 games.
-On Saturday, both teams will be wearing pink wristbands to raise awareness for breast cancer and gold shoelaces to raise awareness for pediatric cancer.
Scouting the Bonnies
-SBU welcomes La Salle for their first A-10 series of the season after last weekend's series at Massachusetts was cancelled due to unplayable field conditions. The Bonnies were swept in a doubleheader at Youngstown State on Thursday, March 23.
-Desiree Gonzalez leads SBU in runs scored (13), extra-base hits (eight), triples (two), and is one of two Bonnies with a double-digit RBI total (10) so far this season.
-Alexandra Piergustavo leads the team with 16 RBI's and 21 hits. The sophomore has a five-game hitting streak going into the weekend, and is hitting .309 on the year.
-Josie Borysevicz has earned five of the team's seven wins and has tossed a team-high 64.1 innings.
