ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The La Salle University men's tennis team hit the road for a matchup with one of the top teams in the Patriot League in Navy on Friday, falling by a score of 7-0.
The Explorers squared off against the Midshipmen, who advanced to the Patriot League finals a year ago and tallied 22 victories as a team.

Francesco Mowrey nearly fought back from an early deficit at the top singles spot. Facing the reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year Zach Jennings, Mowrey dropped a first-set tiebreak before winning the second set, 7-5. The third and final set was shortened to a super tiebreaker, with Jennings earning a 10-8 victory.
La Salle will look to bounce back on Saturday, Feb. 3 against Bucknell. The match will be contested in Hershey, Pa., and is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
