PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle softball team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2018 campaign, which features 11 home dates at West Campus Field.
 
La Salle will spend their first four weekends playing in tournaments, beginning with Campbell's Camel Stampede on Feb. 23-24. The Explorers will open the season against Fairfield before playing Georgia Tech and Campbell twice.
 
The Explorers will then enter the Madeira Beach Invitational from March 2-4, hosted by Eastern Michigan.  Over three days they'll play Buffalo, Loyola-Chicago, Northern Kentucky, Alabama State and SIUE.
 
The Blue and Gold will also play a tournament at Hampton University from March 9-11, and will square up with Albany in addition to Nebraska-Omaha and Hampton twice each.
 
La Salle will head south once more to play in the UMBC Dawg Pound Invitational from March 16-18. The slate includes two games against Sacred Heart as well as games against UMBC, Drexel and Saint Peter's.
 
La Salle hosts Penn for their home opener on March 21, which opens a string of nine straight home games. The Explorers open Atlantic 10 play that weekend with Massachusetts (March 24-25).
 
After a midweek game against Villanova (March 27), the Blue and Gold host Rhode Island (March 30-31) and then Lafayette (April 5).
 
La Salle's A-10 road trips begin with Dayton (April 7-8) and include George Washington (April 14-15), Saint Joseph's (April 25) and Fordham (May 5-6).
 
La Salle also hosts George Mason (April 21-22) and Saint Louis (28-29) at West Campus Field. The Atlantic 10 Championship will be held at Fordham from May 9-12.
