Rogelio Gonzalez each earned straight-set wins for the La Salle University men's tennis team, who were defeated by Bucknell by a 5-2 margin in Hershey, Pa., on Saturday evening.
Mowrey improved to 2-1 on the spring season with a 6-4, 7-6 win over Max Kane at the top singles position. His only loss came in three sets to reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year Zach Jennings from Navy.
Gonzalez earned the first dual-match singles win of his collegiate career, easily defeating Andrei Vitiuc at the No. 3 spot, 6-3, 6-1.Â
La Salle continues spring competition on Sunday, Feb. 4 against Colgate.
