Men's Tennis | February 5, 2018
PHILADELPHIA - Despite winning the doubles point for the second time in four matches, the La Salle University men's tennis could not put together enough of an effort in singles action to pick up a team win as it fell to Colgate, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon.
The team of junior
Francesco Mowrey and senior
Tomas Christian earned a 7-6 win over the top team from the Raiders, while sophomore
Patrick Pascual and freshman
Colin Lucius also won at the No. 3 position, 6-4.Â
Leading 1-0 heading into singles action, the top four players for Colgate each put together straight-set wins to establish a lead the Explorers could not recover from. The No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches were unfinished due to the Raiders clinching the victory.
La Salle returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 10 with its Atlantic 10 opener against Fordham.Â
