MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – After opening the season last weekend at the Camel Stampede in North Carolina, the La Salle softball team heads to the Sunshine State for five games in the Madeira Beach Invitational this weekend.
 
The Explorers will open play Friday morning at 11 a.m. against Buffalo (5-7) before playing Loyola Chicago (5-4) at 1:30 p.m.
 
La Salle plays a lone game Saturday morning (11 a.m.) against Northern Kentucky (2-2) before wrapping up the weekend with a pair of games Sunday. The Explorers take on Alabama State (4-10) Sunday morning at 9 a.m. before the finale against SIUE (4-2) at 2 p.m.
