Francesco Mowrey picked up his second consecutive victory at the No. 1 singles position and freshman
Rogelio Gonzalez matched his teammate with a singles win of his own on Saturday afternoon against Loyola (Md.).
Ultimately, the La Salle University men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to the Greyhounds in the final contest of a busy week that saw the Explorers play five times over a seven-day stretch.
Mowrey soundly defeated Brian Hoffarthy, 6-2, 6-0, to move to 6-6 on the season at No. 1 singles. Gonzalez downed Reid Burch in two closely contested sets, 6-3 and 6-4.
Sophomore
Patrick Pascual had an opportunity to gain a third point for La Salle, as he won the first set of his match at No. 5, 6-3. But Matt Fitzmaurice won the second and third to help the Greyhounds to victory.
La Salle will have a week off before tangling with Lehigh in a road matchup on Sunday, March 25.
