Jayla Smith secured a team point with a win at No. 6 singles, as did sophomore
Ali Snyder at the second singles position for the La Salle women's tennis team against Loyola (Md.) on Saturday.
The Explorers did succumb to the Greyhounds, falling 5-2 as Loyola moved to a perfect 6-0 on the season.
Smith earned a straight-set win over Chloe Boustany, 6-4, 6-4, while Snyder bounced back from a second-set loss to take the third in a hard-fought tiebreak, 7-6 (4).Â
La Salle returns to action on Sunday, March 25 with a road match at Lehigh.Â
