PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle softball team (11-19, 2-6 A-10) is on the road for another Atlantic 10 softball series this weekend as they travel for a three-game set at George Washington (24-13, 4-5 A-10).

Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle is fresh off a doubleheader sweep of Maryland Eastern Shore on Wednesday afternoon, defeating the Hawks 7-4 in the opener and 7-3 in game two.
-The Explorers clubbed a pair of home runs in game two, and now sit fourth in the Atlantic 10 with 21 homers.
Emma Schweigert connected on her seventh big fly in the game, which ranks seventh in the A-10.

Ashley Mendenhall finished with three hits on Wednesday, including a homer, and drove in five runs between the two games. The freshman now leads the team with 15 runs driven in.

Marissa Ewald and
Lauren Morell had four hits apiece on Wednesday, and Ewald also drove in two runs. The freshman is now tied for second on the team with 14 RBI's.
Scouting the Colonials
-George Washington won its first road series of the season at Rhode Island last weekend, dropping Sunday's opener in 12 innings before taking the final two games.
-Jenna Cone has reached base in 21 consecutive games for the Colonials. The sophomore is second in the Atlantic 10 with a .430 batting average and leads the league with 45 runs driven in.
-As a team, George Washington leads the A-10 with a .323 average, 233 runs scored and 83 stolen bases.
-The Colonials are 15-5 at the GW Softball Field home this season, including a 13-game winning streak there last month. In 20 home games, GW is batting .387 as a team and averaging 8.3 runs per game.
