PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle softball team returns home this weekend for a three-game series with George Mason at West Campus Field. Saturday's doubleheader, which begins at noon, will also serve as the Spring Tailgate Series.

Scouting the Explorers (12-23, 3-8 A-10)
-La Salle stumbled in both games of a doubleheader at Drexel on Wednesday afternoon.

Emma Schweigert, who homered in both games at Drexel, is tied for sixth in the Atlantic 10 with nine home runs. The sophomore is also seventh in the league with a .622 slugging percentage this season.

Bridget Magee is also swinging a hot bat for the Explorers, homering twice and driving in five runs over her last three games.

McKenzie Peace has been reliable for La Salle out of the pen of late, allowing just two earned runs over 7.2 innings in appearances at GW last weekend and Wednesday at Drexel.
Scouting the Patriots (16-24, 6-8 A-10)
-George Mason split a doubleheader with George Washington at home on Wednesday, taking the opener 4-1 before suffering an 8-1 setback in game two. The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for the Patriots.
-At 6-8 in A-10 play, the Patriots are sixth in the A-10 standings, one game behind George Washington and two games ahead of Rhode Island.
-Jess Curbeira drilled her first career grand slam to provide the offense for the 4-1 win over GW, and now leads the team with 20 RBI's.
-Brooke Sullivan leads GMU in hitting with a .321 average, and is tied for second in the A-10 with 13 doubles.
