PHILADELPHIA - Senior Tomas Christian earned a straight-set win over his opponent from Villanova on Wednesday, but the La Salle University men's tennis team fell to the Wildcats by a 6-1 decision.

Christian defeated Tommy Mulflur, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 4 to give the Explorers their lone point of the match. Senior Francesco Mowrey won the first set of his match at the top singles position against Stefan Suarez, but dropped the final two.

La Salle will face Temple in another match between Philadelphia schools on Friday, April 6.
