PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University women's tennis team fell at the hands of Temple in a non-conference match on Friday.

Seniors Jayla Smith and Alex Santarelli teamed up for a No. 3 doubles match against Cecilia Castelli and Yana Khon. The two teams were tied at 5-5 before the contest was stopped after the Owls won the first two doubles matches.

In singles, Temple competitors earned straight-set wins in all six matches to improve the team's record to 7-7 on the year.

La Salle returns to action with another non-league matchup against Monmouth on Wednesday,  April 11.
