NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Redshirt-senior Maci Bower has earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and freshman Danielle Rooney was name to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, the conference announced Thursday afternoon. Both teams were voted on by the league's head coaches.
 
Bower is having a monster year after missing all of 2018 with an injury. The Millville, Pa. native leads the Explorers in points (21) and goals (10). Those totals landed her fifth in the league in goals and seventh in points. She's also third in game-winning goals with four. Throughout the season, Bower was named A-10 Player of the Week on three different occasions.
 
Rooney has made three starts on the season, appearing in 18 games for the Blue & Gold. The rookie scored seven points on a pair of goals and three assists. To conclude the regular season, Rooney was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week.
 
La Salle takes on Saint Louis on Friday at 2 p.m. EST in the Atlantic 10 Semifinals.
