                     PHILADELPHIA - La Salle University junior 
Tiffany Theophil breezed past Fairfield's Diana Prinos, 6-1, 6-1, at the top singles position of the match between the Explorers and Stags on Sunday evening. Fairfield went on to take the team victory over La Salle, 6-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
	- The doubles point was hotly contested, with Theophil and classmate Ali Snyder falling, 7-5, at No. 1 and the match at No. 2 going to a tiebreaker.
 
	- Senior Brittany Poje and sophomore Aleks Nikolic ultimately dropped a 7-6 decision as the Explorers went down in the team competition, 1-0.
 
	- Theophil's victory at No. 1 was the lone singles win of the day for the Explorers, as Fairfield earned five straight-set victories and improved to 7-1 on the year.
 
UP NEXT
	- La Salle returns to action on Sunday, March 3 with a match at Lehigh, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
