ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The La Salle University men's tennis team hit the road for a pair of non-conference matches at Navy on Saturday. The Explorers lost, 4-1, to Wagner in a neutral-site match before dropping a 4-0 decision to the host Midshipmen. The Explorers are back in action on Monday, March 25, for a tilt at Delaware beginning at 3:00 p.m.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the morning session, the doubles point was hotly contested, with Wagner edging the Explorers at No. 3, 7-5.
• Sophomore Rogelio Gonzalez picked up a point for La Salle with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Hans Ohrner at No. 3.
• From there, Wagner picked up three singles matches and clinched the team win. 
• Freshman Nassim Fenjiro was leading, 2-0, in a decisive third set at No. 4, before the match was halted.
• Navy dropped just two games at the top two doubles positions, picking up the doubles point while the third doubles match went unfinished.
• In singles action, the Midshipmen took straight-set victories at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6.
• Fenjiro was en route to forcing a third set in his match at No. 4, as he led by a resounding 5-0 margin before Navy clinched the team win and halted competition.
