Nassim Fenjiro all tallied a pair of victories as the La Salle University men's tennis team picked up a 6-1 win over Loyola (Md.) on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mowrey and Fenjiro combined to dominate the top doubles contest, earning a 6-1 win.
- Following a victory by the Greyhounds at No. 2, Lucius teamed with Andrija Bozovic to edge the Loyola duo at No. 3, 7-5, and secure the doubles point.
- In singles, Mowrey and Fenjiro once again led the way, posting straight-set wins at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively.
- Lucius and classmate Rogelio Gonzalez joined the straight-set contingent at No. 3 and No. 6.
- Gonzalez allowed his opponent to win just four games over two sets, while Lucius did him one better by winning 6-2, 6-1.
- Junior Patrick Pascual sneaked out a three-set win at No. 5 to account for the final victory for La Salle.
UP NEXT
- The Explorers face local rival Villanova on Thursday, April 4, beginning a three-day, three-match stretch that features contests against Hofstra (April 5) and St. Bonaventure (April 6).
