PHILADELPHIA - Senior Anthony Hawthorne set a school record in the 800-meter run at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday. The Explorers also competed at the Fastrack National Invite over the weekend.

WHERE THEY FINISHED

• Hawthorne placed fourth among 291 runners in the 800 meters and broke Nathan Gillis's previous record with a new program mark of 1:49.40.
• Gillis was close behind with the seventh fastest time in the 800, crossing the line in 1:49.80.
• Sophomore Ibrahim Kedir also competed at BU, running the 3,000 meters in 8:13.83.
• The rest of the Explorers were at the Fastrack National led by junior Dennis Manyeah, who did what he normally does, winning the high jump with a leap of 2.09 meters.
• Senior Ache Hall place third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.30 seconds.
• Sophomore Chris Lewis took sixth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.90 seconds and was ninth among 20 sprinters in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 22.31 seconds.
• Sophomore Ryan James placed third in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:32.48, while freshman Alex Sandras was sixth with a time of 8:35.99. Freshman Dylan Servis ran the 800 meters in 1:57.73 for 12th out of 23 finishers.
