LEWISBURG, Pa. - The La Salle men's tennis team suffered a narrow 4-3 loss to Marist on Saturday. The Explorers won the doubles point but ultimately could not string together enough momentum in singles action to secure the team win.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• La Salle had its strongest showing in doubles play this season, with juniors Rogelio Gonzalez and Connor Merrill winning at the top doubles spot at love, 6-0.
• The doubles point came down to No. 3, with freshman Gage Sanchez and senior Andrija Bozovic taking the match, 6-3.
• Singles action saw Marist win the top two positions in straight sets, while Sanchez took his match at No. 4 in two sets.
• Marist compiled two more wins at No. 5 and No. 6, negating a three-set victory at No. 3 by sophomore Nassim Fenjiro as the Red Foxes improved to 3-1 on the year.
