PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University men's tennis team dropped a close 5-2 decision to Merrimack on Sunday. Freshman Gage Sanchez and junior Colin Lucius picked up singles wins for the Explorers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The doubles point went to the Warriors, as they won each of the top two matches.
• Lucius teamed with freshman Brandon Caban to secure a 7-6 victory at No. 3.
• The singles matches saw Sanchez pick up a 7-6, 6-0 win at No. 4, while Lucius also won in straight sets at No. 6.
• Sophomore Nassim Fenjiro had a chance to force a third set but fell in a tiebreak at No. 3.
