WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - The La Salle University men's tennis team continued its busy week with a non-conference match at Monmouth on Tuesday afternoon. The Explorers narrowly missed out on the doubles point, and saw the Hawks take three singles matches to earn the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Colin Lucius and junior Nassim Fenjiro picked up a win at No. 2 doubles and their teammates were on the verge of doing the same at No. 1.
- Monmouth, however, fought off the two match points to take the decisive match, 7-5, and go up in the team score, 1-0.
- Unfortunately for the Explorers, MU was able to earn straight-set victories at Nos. 2, 4, and 6 to secure the win.
- The final three singles matches were halted when the team competition was clinched.
