PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team concludes their three-game homestand this weekend as they host Princeton on Friday night and James Madison on Sunday afternoon.
Scouting the ExplorersWith the exception of last Thursday's 3-3 draw with William & Mary, all of the Explorers games this season have been decided by one goal. The Explorers are fresh off a statement victory over ACC foe Pittsburgh on Sunday. Sophomore
Danielle Marx netted the game-winner with a header in the 66
th minute on assists from
Deja Davis and
Kelsey Haycook to lift La Salle to the 1-0 win.
Seven different Explorers have recorded points this season, paced by
Kelsey Haycook's seven (two goals, three assists).
Jessika Kagan has also scored twice, and
Maryam Huseini and
Gabriella Carbone each have two assists.

Princeton returns 24 of its 27 goals from last season, including the team's top four scorers from 2013: Tyler Lussi (10), Lauren Lazo (five), Melissa Downey (three) and Jessica Haley (three). The Tigers starting lineup also features several new faces as four freshmen started in their season opener against Rutgers and five more against Seton Hall.
The Tigers hold a 6-1-1 advantage in the all-time series, with La Salle's lone victory coming in 1-0 fashion in 2011.

Live Statistics | Live Tweets @ExplorerGameDayScouting the DukesJames Madison earned the No. 24 ranking by the NSCAA last Tuesday after starting the season 3-0 with wins over Xavier, Massachusetts and then-No. 24 Wake Forest. A loss to Navy on Friday night knocked the Dukes out of the national polls, but James Madison remains ranked No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic region after a win over VCU on Sunday.
The Dukes are led in the offensive third by Ashley Herndon (five points), Sam Lofton (four points), and Katie Hyland (four points). Keeper Ellen Forrest owns a .80 goals against average, and has recorded 13 saves through the first five games.
The Explorers claimed the 2013 Fairfield Inn by Marriot Invitational with a 2-1 win over the Dukes last September.
