PHILADELPHIA – La Salle's men and women's cross country teams both kicked off their seasons at the Main Line Invite on Friday evening, each placing third behind just Villanova and Penn.
The men's team ended with 85 points in the 4-mile, while the women tallied 74 in 3-mile.
HOW THEY FINISHED (WOMEN'S):
- El Mancini continued her strong performance from the spring's A10 Championships, leading La Salle with a fourth-place finish at 16:48.4.
- Christine Mancini clocked in at 17:25.0 to finish tenth, running an average mile of 5:49.
- Elizabeth Mancini finished in 23rd at 17:51.5, with Maeve Gimbert following just behind her in 24th at 17:52.8.
- Jenna Webb crossed the finish line at 18:15.3 to place 28th, while teammate Julia Flood followed in 31st at 18:24.2.
- Emma Everett ranked 53rd at 20:28.4, while Jamie Green followed at 59th with a time of 21:03.4.

Both teams will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 1 when they head to Bethlehem, Pa. for the Paul Short Run at 10 a.m.
