La Salle University Athletics

Joe Dieterle set the La Salle record (which stood for nine years) in the MAC Championship in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1964 and also helped set and re-set La Salle records in 400-yard medley relay. Dieterle was selected by College Swimming Coaches Association of America to the NCAA All-American Teams in 1964 and 1965.
