La Salle University Athletics

Robert Walters was the first La Salle men's basketball player to surpass 1,000 points, accumulating 1,193. He led the team in scoring all 4 years and captained the first Explorer post-season tournament squad in 1947 (MAC).  That same season he was selected to the All-State team.

Walters also coached basketball at La Salle from 1963-1965.
