Steven Davis (Springfield, Pa./Springfield Delco) was the first scholarship men's tennis player in La Salle history and compiled an astounding 53-8 record at the top singles spot over his four years with the program. A three-time team MVP, Davis was the ITCA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1982 and was named an Academic All-American by the same organization. He was the first Explorer to be seeded at the ECC Championships and went a combined 31-1 in match play over his final two years of eligibility. Following graduation, he played professionally on the satellite tennis circuit from 1983-85.
